Narikoravar community files petition seeking subsidy loan from industries department

Women from the Narikoravar community in Arivoli Nagar, near Palladam Arumuthampalayam, have petitioned the Collector's office, requesting that the Centre and the Tamil Nadu government provide loans under the industries department to help them expand their business of making needles, moss garlands and bells.



Tirupur: The Narikoravar community, which produces needles, moss garlands, and bells, has petitioned the district collector's office for a loan subsidy from the industries department.



For almost 25 years, more than 90 families have been residing at Koravar Colony in Palladam taluk's Arumuthampalayam panchayat. More than 100 women have been making needles, moss garlands, and bells at home while walking to different areas and doing business in vehicles.



In this situation, they filed a petition with the District Collector's Office on Monday, requesting that the Central Government and the Tamil Nadu Government give loans through the Industries Department so that their business can be developed.
