PM Narendra Modi has fulfilled Ambedkar's dream of bringing waterway transport to India - BJP Karventhan in Palladam

Tirupur: The BJP's Tirupur North district Palladam legislative wing conference was held today at a private marriage hall in Palladam Vadugapalayam.



More than 300 people from the BJP, including the youth wing, women's wing, minorities wing, scheduled caste people's wing, tribal people's wing and farmers' wing, participated in the conference.



Former MP and national spokesperson Karventhan, national general council member GKS Selvakumar and state secretary Malarkodi were the chief guests for the conference.



Discussions were held on winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing the media on the sidelines of the event, former MP and BJP national spokesperson Karventhan said,



Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled the plan at a time when no Prime Minister has come forward to fulfil Ambedkar's dream of providing water transport by sea and rivers.

To bring in the Waterways Transport Act, 2016 and implement the 2017 plan. At a cost of Rs 615 crore, he has implemented a 310-km road route from Bhavanagar district to Maruvacha district through a waterway for just 30 km.

He has set a record by constructing national waterways at 111 locations covering a distance of 20,775 km in 24 states.

Similarly, through the National Waterways Project, he has indirectly provided employment to 84,000 people in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand from Varanasi via the Ganga.

In Tamil Nadu, poor students opposed NEET with the intention of not becoming doctors. But this year, 63 students from Tamil Nadu have scored the highest marks at the all-India level in neet.
