A temple for Lord Sri Krishna at the temple of learning-Sri Krishna Institutions today consecrated the idol of Lord Sri Krishna. The consecration of Lord Sri Krishna Temple constructed at the premises of Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Kuniamuthur slated today at 6 am by performing Ganapathi Homam and other rituals like Mula Pooja, Prasaadha Prathishtaa, Pani Kumbham, Swami Vigraham, Nithirai Kalandhu, Garpagraham Pravesa, Pravaha Avastha Vahana, Manthra Vahana Muhurtha Prathishta, Ashtabandha Sthapanam Kumbhesa Nidraa Kalasaabhishekam, Jeeva Vahana, Sthula Vahana, Sthotharavahana, Payasa Pooja, Nithya Pooja, Prathishtaa Bali, Sithbimba Sammelana, Nithya Nithana Sangalpa, Karpagraham Vilakku Yetral, Nada Adakkal and Prathishtaa Dakshina. Following which, the installation of Lord Sri Krishna held with special pujas being performed.
Besides the presiding deity, Lord Ganehsa, Lord Muruga, Goddess Bhagavathi Amman and Nava Grahas also installed after performing the rituals. Devotees offered worship at the precincts of Lord Sri Krishna.
S.P. Velumani, Municipal Administration,Rural Development, Udumalai K Radhakrishnan, Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Dist.Collector T.N Hariharan, IAS, Chairperson and Managing Trustee S.Malarvizhi participated today in this mega gathering.
