The existing road from Coimbatore to Karur will be expanded into a four lane road

The present road from Coimbatore to Karur will be upgraded to a four-lane highway, providing better access to Delta districts.The Coimbatore-Karur Greenfield expressway, which is being built by NHAI, is located in the Kongu region and is an essential road infrastructure project for the region's development.


Coimbatore: The present road from Coimbatore to Karur will be upgraded to a four-lane highway, providing better access to Delta districts.

Coimbatore to Karur Greenfield Expressway planned to be executed by NHAI is in the middle of Kongu region and a very important road infrastructure project for the development.

The NHAI board has put this project on hold for the past year.

There are abundant dry lands available from Karanampettai till Karur. It will be very helpful for the Government to acquire for Sipcot or any other purpose. Big Industries could be established in this area. It will provide better access to both Chennai and Tuticorin port.

When the four lane Expressway project will be built by NHAI from Karanampettai to Karur and further to Trichy it will be a big step forward for the State.
