City's Karpagam Academy of Higher Education and Karaikudi's Alagappa University sign MoU on Research

'The MoU will foster faculty and student exchange programmes that will form the basis of study design, technical and scientific consultation and research activities.'

Coimbatore: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on research was signed on Tuesday between Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE), Coimbatore and Alagappa University, Karaikudi.

The objective of the MoU is to enable deeper collaboration on science and engineering research, Student and Faculty Exchange programmes, Faculty Development programmes and utilizing research infrastructure. Prof. Dr. B Venkatchalapathy, Vice-Chancellor, KAHE and Prof. G Ravi, 



Vice-Chancellor, Alagappa University, Karaikudi inked the MoU in presence of dignitaries. Sr. Prof. G Ravi said, “The MoU will foster faculty and student exchange programmes that will form the basis of study design, technical and scientific consultation and research activities.”

Addressing the gathering at the signing ceremony, Prof. B. Venkatchalapathy said, "Both institutions are motivated to take this collaboration deeper and to provide innovative research solutions to social needs." Echoing his sentiment. Prof. G Ravi reiterated that now both institutes will further enhance the quality of research and professional expertise.

The other dignitaries of KAHE present during the event were Dr. V Parthasarathy, Dean, R&D and Industry Relations and dignitaries from Alagappa University were Dr. J Jeyakanthan, Senior Professor & Head, Department of Bioinformatics, Dr. S Rajamohan, Registrar i/c., Dr. K Alamelu, Director, IQAC, Dr. C Vethirajan, Dean, Student Affairs, Dr. A Padmapriya, Special Officer (P&D) and other faculty members. 

Prof. G Ravi lauded Dr. J Jeyakanthan, Senior Professor and Head, Department of Bioinformatics for his valiant efforts.
