Surendran a resident of Navakkarai in Coimbatore is running a real estate business in Sundarapuram. He was travelling to office this afternoon through the Madukkarai bridge. Two people who were following him on a motorcycle, stopped him and stole one-lakh rupees in cash and three mobile phones from him and reportedly escaped from the location.
Surendran filed a complaint at the Podanur police station. Police have registered a case and are investigating. Police suspect business rivalry or the work of seasoned burglars. The incident which happened on a busy road has created a sense of fear among the frequent road users.
