JumpStart 2017 Start Up conclave is an initiative of The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and TiE Coimbatore will be hosted at Hotel Le Meridian on 11 March in Coimbatore. The one day conclave will showcase speakers from a wide array of domains including technology, funding, banking, food and diary among other sectors. The speakers represent a heterogeneous group of entrepreneurs and professionals who work closely with entrepreneurs.
The conclave will be inaugurated by Ma Foi Pandiarajan founder of Ma.Foi Consultants, Suhas Pati Founder Circuss Logic and Chairman, Tie Global, R.G.Chandramogan Hatsun Agro, Venkatesh Goli Vada Pav , Sairee Chahal Sheroes.in, J.K.Murugavel Bharat Matrimony.Com, C.K Kumaravel Natural Salons, C.VR Rajendran, CEO Catholic Syrian Bank, R.Natarajan Ratan Tata Fund, Rangaraj Pandey Thanti TV and Naru Narayanan Serial entrepreneur will deliver their address at this conclave.

Vanitha Mohan President of ICCI Coimbatore while briefing the press about the event shared that “Gone are the days when students after graduation opted to go for jobs. This generation of students are more inclined towards entrepreneurship. Coimbatore is one of the fertile ground for entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit is part of DNA of its citizen.”
“The ICCI and TiE thus have planned to create a platform to bring various stakeholders. Jumpstart Conclave is the first step towards it. The Chamber has also planned to establish a StartUp vertical an incubation centre which will nurture entrepreneurs. NassComm has extended a helping hand for setting up the incubation centre. This incubation centre will help the start ups in all aspects. The place for the centre is yet to be confirmed.”
“All the budding entrepreneurs either move to Bangalore or Silicon Valley for developing their start ups. Our objective is to make Coimbatore similar to Silicon Valley with respect to the start up culture. At present there are approximately 300 start ups in the city and we aim at encouraging more people to take entrepreneurship.”
G. Karthikeyan President TiE Coimbatore shared “This is the right time to launch such initiatives as government too is actively promoting start ups and small businesses. We have received close to 600 registration and most of them are college students. It will also act as a common ground for the participants to engage with like-minded individuals and shared their ideas and stories.”
