Man's desperate plight at Mobile phone tower: suicide threat in Coimbatore district

As the police frequently visit the house of Abdul Jabbar of Gurusamy Pillai Street near Sundarapuram, the owner asked him to vacate. Abdul Jabbar climbed on to a cell phone tower near Sarada Mill and threatened to commit suicide.



Coimbatore: A man allegedly climbed on to a mobile phone tower near Sundarapuram in Coimbatore district and threatened to commit suicide.

His son Haroon Basha (24), an auto driver, has several cases pending against him, including smuggling of ration rice and assaulting.

It is learnt that the police frequently visited Abdul Jabbar's house for questioning in the case. The owner of the house has been asked to vacate the house as the police come frequently.

Abdul Jabbar had threatened to commit suicide on a cell phone tower above the house of Senthil Kumar at Sharda Mill junction in Sundarapuram.

Podanur sub-inspector Jesse Udayaraj, who came to know about the information, spoke to Jafar for a long time and pacified him and dropped him down, warned him and sent him away. This led to a commotion in the area.
