Man arrested for breaking hundi from Koniamman Temple in Coimbatore - The police arrested the culprit

Miscreants broke the hundi of the Koniamman Temple, guardian deity Coimbatore, and stole the money and offerings from it. Satheesh, a native of Dindigul district, was arrested and cash and an iron rod were seized from him.



Coimbatore: A man was arrested after breaking and stealing the hundi of the Koniamman Temple in Coimbatore.

The famous Koniamman Temple, the guardian deity of Coimbatore, is located on the Big Bazaar Road in Coimbatore.

On the night of May 13, an unidentified miscreant entered the temple premises and stole the money and offerings from the hundi set up in front of the Adi Koniyamman temple on the western side.

The Ukkadam police registered a case and formed a special team led by sub-inspector Sivan and launched a search operation. Police arrested Sekar (A) Sathish (32), a native of Dindigul district, for breaking the hundi of the temple.

Following this, the police seized the money from his possession and the iron rod that he was used to steal. Hewas subsequently arrested, was produced in court and sent to jail.
