Department of Computer Science and Department of Computer Applications, Pioneer College of Arts and Science recently hosted Xavion’ 17, a state-level technical symposium. M.Jaikumar, Head, Department of Computer Applications, Sri .Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science was chief guest. About 180 students from various colleges participated in this edition of Xavion.
Welcome address was given by Prof.C.Rangarajan, Head, Department of Computer Applications. P. Rajappan, Vice Principal honoured the chief guest. Presidential address was given by Vasanthi, Head, Computer Science Department. Academic co-coordinator Padmalochana presented the felicitation. Chief guest Jaikumar presented the seminar on the topic of “Cyber Crime Security”.
As part of the programme, various events like paper presentation, Debugging, Minute to Win It, Word Hunt, Facial Painting and Best out of Waste contests were hosted. EduDharma, an NGO that collects funds through crowd sourcing to support the education of the underprivileged was inaugurated in this college by Mohammed Ali and Shyam Raj of EduDharma. Anushya, Asst. Prof of Computer Applications Department delivered the vote of thanks.
