Man arrested for biting finger of private bus conductor who asked for ticket

Krishnakumar (47), a native of Udumalpet, who works as a conductor in a private bus between Coimbatore and Pollachi, was on duty yesterday when he asked for a ticket from Prince, who boarded the bus, when he was in an inebriated state, Bite krishnakumar's finger and bit another passenger who tried to stop it.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a passenger bit the finger of a conductor who asked for a ticket in a private bus near Pollachi in Coimbatore district.

Krishnakumar (47) hails from Udumalaipettai in Tiruppur district. He works as a conductor in a private bus from Coimbatore to Pollachi.

Prince (42), a native of Vadapudur in Kinathukadavu, was travelling in the bus from Coimbatore to Pollachi as usual yesterday.

When the bus arrived near Sundarapuram Ponkaliamman temple, Krishnakumar instructed Prince to take the ticket.

At that time, Prince, who was under the influence of alcohol, got into an argument with conductor Krishnakumar. He then suddenly bit Krishnakumar's fingers and attacked them.

Krishnasamy, who stepped in to save the conductor, was also bitten by the Prince. There, he was caught by fellow travellers. Krishnakumar then informed the Pothanur police.

Police rushed to the spot and questioned Prince, registered a case under three sections and arrested him.

The incident has sent shock waves among the people of the area.
