Hindustan People's Seva Movement knelt down to demand release of 'The Kerala Story'

The Hindustan People's Seva Movement staged a petition at the Coimbatore district collector's office, holding banners, demanding the release of The Kerala Story in theatres and adequate security for theatres.

Coimbatore: Hindustan People's Seva Movement presented a petition for the screening of the movie "Kerala Story".

Kerala Story released in theaters a few days back. However, after strong protests against the film, the film was shown in theaters for only one day. It ran for two days only in selected cinemas.

Following this, several Hindu organisations, including the BJP, urged the government to provide adequate security and screen the film. However, the film was not screened in any of the theatres.

Led by Hindustani Rahva Seva Movement leader Lotus Manikandan, the activists knelt in front of the Coimbatore District Collector, holding placards, demanding the screening of the film in theaters and ensuring adequate security for the theatres.
