Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner and Presiding Officer Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan today inspected Veerakeralam area which comes under 19th Ward of corporation.
During this routine inspection, Corporation Commissioner advised the Officials to remove Seemai Karuvelam trees from a reserve site at Ward No:19.
He also discussed with officials on dengue control works carried at this ward and did a random check on the register maintained. He also advised the Corporation staff to educate the residents on the concept of waste segregation at source.
'A sum of Rs. 30 lakhs has been allotted towards construction of boundary walls for the water storage tank at Periya Thottam Colony housing unit' Commissioner said.
The park that has been constructed at Ward No:17, Gurusamy Nagar (near Bhuvaneshwari Amman Temple), Vadavalli was also inspected by Corporation Commissioner along with Deputy Corporation Commissioner, P. Gandhimathi, Assistant Corporation Commissioner (West Zone), K. Ramaiyya, Executive Enginner (Incharge) Saravanakumar, Assistant Town Planning Officer Ravichandran, Assistant Executive Enginner Karuppasamy and other Corporation Officials.
