8 sovereigns of jewellery stolen on first day of joining work near Pollachi - Police search for young woman

Akash, a resident of Balagopalapuram near Pollachi, runs a jewellery shop. Keerthi, a young woman who had come to her shop seeking a job, went missing along with 8 sovereigns of jewellery.


Coimbatore:Police are looking for a young woman who showed up at a jewellery shop near Pollachi on her first day of joining the shop.

Akash (27) is a resident of Balagopalapuram Road near Pollachi in Coimbatore district. He runs a jewellery shop in the area. On the day of the incident, a 27-year-old woman named Keerthi came to his shop seeking a job.

The owner of the shop asked him to give him an identity card. The young woman said she would give it to him tomorrow.

Akash then hired the young woman in his jewellery shop. Keerthi suddenly disappeared around 8 pm. The proprietor of the shop searched for her. It was then revealed that she had stolen 8 sovereigns of gold jewellery from the shop and escaped.

Aakash, the owner of the jewellery shop, lodged a complaint with the Pollachi East police station. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case and are looking for the missing young woman who stole an 8-sovereigns gold chain from a jewellery shop on the first day of work.
