P. Sivaraj, Ph.D, Scholar from Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology (AE&RS), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore and State President, AIASA, Tamil Nadu, received the ‘National Award-Student of the Year Award 2016’ for his outstanding contribution for undertaking Students Welfare Activities and Empowering the Youth in Agriculture in the State of Tamil Nadu, Southern Zone.
He received this award from C.R. Chaudhary, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Dr. Gurbachan Singh, Chairman, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) during the “2nd National Youth Convention of Agricultural Innovation in Sustainable Food Systems for Improving Rural livelihood: The Youth Perspective” jointly organized by Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), All India Agricultural Students Association (AIASA) at University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur (Karnataka).
