Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Intelligence Police conducted a training camp on counter-terrorism activities. The training camp was held at the city police commissioner's office and was attended by city police inspectors, sub-inspectors and intelligence agencies.
Training was given on monitoring, preventing and handling of cases of terrorist activities.
Speaking at the training camp, City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan said:
Terrorism comes against a people and against the state, and a few deliberately create terrorism. We have to deal with this properly.
There should not be any transparency in the complaints given by the public. A fair investigation should be carried out. Some of the police were speaking erroneously and they needed to be corrected.
After the vehicle check, the police officers should thank the people for their Cooperation, which will lead to positive relations between the people. Inspectors and sub-inspectors should adhere to this in its entirety.
