Outrageous Attack: Man Throws Acid on Wife in Coimbatore Court, She Dies Without Treatment

Kavitha, who was seriously injured after her husband poured acid on her in the Coimbatore court premises due to family issues, succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Coimbatore. A case of murder has been registered and police are investigating.


Coimbatore: On March 23, a man, Siva, poured acid on his wife Kavitha over a family dispute in the combined court premises in Coimbatore.

Kavitha, who had been separated from her husband due to a disagreement , had appeared before the first criminal court for a hearing in a theft case against her. Ten her husband Siva poured acid on Kavita in the court premises.

Following this, the police arrested Siva in an attempt to murder case and lodged him in the central jail. Kavitha was being treated at a government hospital in Coimbatore with 80 per cent burns. Kavitha, who was admitted to the intensive care unit for over a month, succumbed to her injuries last night.

Following this, the police registered the case as a case of murder and investigated. Meanwhile, Kavitha's body will be handed over to her relatives today after post-mortem. In a shocking incident, a woman, who was injured in an acid attack inside the court premises, succumbed to her injuries.
