Fire breaks out due to power leakage near Pollachi - Goods worth Rs 1 lakh were set on fire

According to accounts, Prabhu, who had closed his house in Singanallur village near Pollachi and was on his way to work with his mother, was entirely burnt in a fire caused by an electrical leak.



Coimbatore: Due to a power leakage, goods worth Rs 1 lakh were set on fire in l Singanallur, near Pollachi.

Prabhu hails from Perumal Koil Street in Singanallur village near Pollachi. He lives with his mother Makudeeswari. Both of them work as labourers.



In this case, they both locked the door and went to work as usual this morning. Residents in the area noticed the fire in Prabhu's house and informed the fire department.



Firefighters arrived at the spot brought the fire under control after an hour-long struggle. The Anaimalai police, who arrived at the spot later, conducted an investigation and preliminary investigation revealed that the house caught fire due to an electrical leakage in the house.



All the items in the house including tv, cupboard and fridge were destroyed in the fire. Police are also looking into if the fire was caused by anything else.
