Mohammad Saleem, Founder of Environmental Conservation Group from Coimbatore was recently felicitated by Madras Institute of Technology for his tireless service towards Wildlife Conservation.The Madras Institute of Technology had organized this event to felicitate Social Activists, Environmentalists and Wildlife Conservationists. This institute identified 10 such people and felicitated them.
On receiving this honour, Mohammad Saleem shared with us that 'It was indeed an honour to be felicitated by the Madras Institute of Technology. These acknowledgements boosts us to work harder towards conserving our environment. This the very first time Madras Institute of Technology had organized this event and and an announcement by them of conducting it annually.
The aim of the event is to honour and acknowledge work accomplished by Social Activists, Environmentalists and Wildlife Conservationists and thereby inspires and reminds students of their responsibility towards conserving nature. During the award ceremony, a video clipping about the recipient and his accomplishments were featured to the students for better understanding. These kind of acknowledgements amidst the students will kindle their passion towards nature and embolden them to work for a cause along with their career.
Some of the other prominent dignitaries who were felicitated were Mr. Karthikeya Sivasenapathy for his resolute contribution in saving the native cattle breeds and others like Piyush Manas, Sekar, Birdman of Chennai, Kalyanasundaram, Adopted father of Actor Rajinikanth for their earnest contributions in various fields.
