AIADMK cadres in Coimbatore celebrate EC's approval of Edappadi K Palaniswami as AIADMK General Secretary

Even as the Election Commission recognised Edappadi K Palaniswami as the AIADMK General Secretary, party workers led by the former Minister C M Velusamy celebrated by bursting crackers and distributing sweets to the public and motorists in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: AIADMK cadres in Coimbatore celebrated with gusto after the Election Commission recognised Edappadi K Palaniswami as the General Secretary of the party.

AIADMK workers in Coimbatore led by the former Minister C M Velusamy celebrated by bursting crackers and distributing sweets to motorists and public.

Edappadi K Palaniswami was elected as the General Secretary of the AIADMK by the party and the Court had approved it.



The Election Commission of India (ECI) has also now recognised Edappadi K Palaniswami as the General Secretary of the AIADMK. Following this, AIADMK cadres are celebrating across Tamil Nadu.



As part of this, the party's propaganda Deputy Secretary and former Minister S M Velusamy led the party's celebrations at Idhaya Deivam Palace, the AIADMK headquarters in Coimbatore district.

The cadres burst crackers and distributed sweets to the public and motorists to express their joy.



Speaking to reporters later, C M Velusamy said, "The Election Commission has given a good verdict respecting the sentiments of the cadres.

The High Court, the Supreme Court and the Election Commission has recognised Edappadi K Palaniswami as the General Secretary of the AIADMK to please all sections of the society and the cadres.

The schemes brought in have been approved," he added.
