The detrimental effects of establishing hydrocarbon project in Neduvasal spread like fire through social media platforms which garnered the attention of lakhs of people across Tamil Nadu. The historic protests hosted across Tamil Nadu for Jallikattu seem to have triggered a protest era as public and students have begun to host protests across Tamil Nadu condemning the central government's intent of setting up this project at Neduvasal and highlighting the factual ill-effects of this project.
As a precautionary measure, VOC grounds in Coimbatore which turned historic after the Jallikattu protests has been sealed off by the City Police. Students from Coimbatore have been gathering support through social media and whatsapp groups to conduct protests for the people of Neduvasal at VOC grounds. Hence, the place has been sealed off by the police and barricades have been placed on Avinashi Road, near VOC grounds.

The street vendors who sell food at VOC grounds have stated that 'A day's loss is very huge for us to manage. And, today being a weekend, we usually make good sales, this uninformed closure of VOC grounds has led to huge wastage of food and monetary loss', said a street vendor.
The victory of the Jallikattu protest has emboldened the youth and public to voice their support for people's welfare and establish their rights. Be it Neduvasal or Chennai or any part of Tamil Nadu, we will stand united and fight to establish our welfare and rights at all times, seems to be 'Mantra' of the protestors. And, that's how the present Neduvasal Hydrocarbon protests have sprouted up throughout Tamil Nadu.
