Property tax defaulters will attract water disconnection, warns City Corporation.


The civic body has warned that water connection will be terminated to property tax defaulters at all five zones in the city. 

'Despite, repeated warnings, those defaulters who pay no heed to clear their pending property tax dues will attract water disconnection. If the taxes are still not cleared, their property will be confiscated', warned Corporation Commissioner Vijayakarthikeyan.



Today, the officials from the Corporation initiated action at Ward No:85 by disconnecting the water connection of a marriage hall for non-payment of property tax of Rs. 2,55,570/-, 

Hence, defaulters are asked to clear their pending property taxes immediately to avoid confiscation of property.
