Corporation on full swing to retrieve reserve sites; 19.46 acres retrieved in four months.


The encroachment drive by City Corporation is getting stronger day by day as close to 150 plus crores worth of encroached land has been retrieved in all five zones of the city. 

Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan has stated that the encroachment drive will continue till all reserve sites are retrieved by the Corporation. He also also stated that parks and herbal gardens/nurseries will be set at all retrieved sites shortly.

In this regard, the team of officials from Corporation retrieved close to 3.28 acres of reserve site worth Rs. 30.25 crores at ward No:17,4,88 and 32. With today's drive, the total area retrieved so far in February is close to 7.66 acres, worth Rs. 71.95 crores.
