It has been reported that a fire broke out near the Connoor bus stand today. Fire department officials who rushed to this location successfully doused the fire. They prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby temple and the residential areas.
Initially the fire started fuming at the garbage bin and in no time the trash all over the area caught fire emanating thick smoke. Trees at the fire site turned into ashes. The swift action by the fire personnel controlled the fire from spreading to nearby areas and public were advised not to set fire to garbage/trash as it could to major accidents.
