Sahar food distributed from Anaiya Aduppu - Coimbatore Jeevasanthi Foundation lauded

The work of distributing sahar meal, the breakfast of the month of Ramzan, is in full swing through the Anaiya Aduppu launched by the Jeevasanthi Foundation with the aim of satiating the hunger of the needy poor people in Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: For the past 15 years, the Coimbatore-headquartered Jeevasanthi Trust has been doing various social works such as burying dead bodies and providing free ambulance services without any support.

Last week, they opened a community kitchen called Anaiya Aduppu, through which they are implementing a scheme to provide free mid-day meals in crowded areas such as coimbatore government hospital and railway station.

Following the commencement of the Muslim holy month of Ramzan, more and more Muslims have started serving breakfast, a sahar meal that they eat before fasting.

In this context, Muhammed Rafi, president of The Tamil Nadu Multi-Religious Harmony Movement, who personally inspected the work, congratulated Salim, founder of Jeevasanthi Foundation, and the office bearers.

Speaking to reporters, he said, "There are various sections of people, including Muslims, living in Coimbatore from outside the state and from outside.

In view of the muslims' holy month of Ramzan fasting, it is truly commendable to serve sahar food to their native place through an unquenchable stove.

It is to be noted that while the Jeevasanthi Trust has started an anaya oven to satiate the hunger of the needy poor and needy people in Cheran Nagar area, work is also underway for a cancer health centre in the same area.
