Coimbatore: In Coimbatore district, jacto-geo activists are holding a human chain protest at the district collectorate, Pollachi, Mettupalayam, Valparai, Sulur, Anaimalai and Annur.

The human chain protest was held near the Coimbatore district collectorate. More than 100 people belonging to the Jacto-Geo organisation participated and lined up from near the district collectorate to Uppilipalayam signal and held placards and put forward their demands.

In this human chain fight, the CPS scheme should be scrapped and the old pension scheme implemented. The pay anomalies of secondary grade teachers and the pay anomalies of primary grade teachers should be removed. Provide incentives, including incentives for disabled higher education, the 41 month layoff period of the road employees should be regularised. The standard methods of outsourcing in government departments should be completely abandoned, the staff working in integrated school education, Teachers and part-time teachers should be made permanent, the demands, including payment of 21-month arrears of the Seventh Pay Commission, were reiterated.
