Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation calls off strike by contract sanitation workers. It has been announced that regular work will be carried out from tomorrow.



The union workers went on a indefinite strike to protest against the loss of jobs of daily wage sanitation workers working in coimbatore corporation.

In this situation, an agreement was reached in the talks held by the trade unions with the district administration, municipal administration and labour department.

The sanitation workers' strike has been called off following the assurance of safety of the employees.

The employees have been advised to return to work as usual from tomorrow.
