Coimbatore Judicial court justice Judge Pongiappan today extended the judicial custody of the 5 Maoists arrested in Coimbatore till March 7th.
Maoists Rupesh, Shina, Veeramani, Anoop and Kannan were arrested near Karumathampatti in Coimbatore in 2015 and were lodged in Coimbatore central prison since then.
Cases are filed on them including the section for conspiring against the government, The arrested Maoists were today produced before the court in Coimbatore.
The Maoists who were brought to the court raised slogans against the assembly and the parliament.
Advocate Balamurugan who appeared for the Maoists requested the documents related to the case to be provided in Tamil and English.
Judge Pongiappan ordered the extension of the judicial custody of the 5 Maoists arrested in Coimbatore till March 7th.
Following which the Maoists Shina, Anoop, Kannan and Veeramani were taken back to the Coimbatore central prison. Rupesh was taken to the Kerala prison by the police.
