Navaindia a company which was operating in Coimbatore was shut down due to problems in management. Employees who were not paid their gratuity have been demanding that their pending dues are settled by this company. It has been reported that a few year ago, 50% of the gratuity was provided to the employees. However, the other 50% of gratuity remains unpaid till now.
It has come to light that about 180 employees who worked in NavaIndia have not been paid their gratuity till now. The protesting workforce of this company demanded that gratuity of the employees who are deceased now should be provided to their family members they said.
The employees also warned that if the NavaIndia management is not taking steps to pay their graduate they will approach the district collector's office for a remedy. The employees also stated that they will protest in the future if their pending dues are not cleared by this company.
