'It was the DMK that brought in culture of falling at the feet' BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan

The Coimbatore South MLA also alleged that DMK Ministers were throwing stones, speaking ill of women, and also insulting voters.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore South BJP MLA, Vanathi Srinivasan criticised the DMK for bringing in a culture of falling at the feet.

Vanathi Srinivasan interacted with the media at the Coimbatore District Collectorate. She stated, "The fact isthat neither the State Government nor the Chief Minister commented on viral video issues related to the workers of the Northern states which has turned into a major issue here, along with various fake news being circulated in the Northern states."

"Holi is also an important festival for the people of the North. Comments on the video have created a tense situation in their homes, since those who go there are also on their way to celebrate. Those who belong to the Chief Minister's Cabinet have, on various occasions, behaved in a derogatory and unfair manner towards the workers of the North and the work they do. It is for the Chief Minister to control all this," she alleged.

"If the Chief Minister had nipped it in the bud, such a situation would not have arisen now. While the workers from the North are working especially in textile companies in Coimbatore and Tiruppur, the work in Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts has been badly affected since the State Government is not handling the issue properly. The State Government is working with the intention of taking revenge on these areas. Have they let the workers of the north suffer? Doubts arise. If the CM feels that the Government is in danger, then who is the root cause of this problem? Has this happened for 10 years before this? Soon after they came to power, on every social media handle, their ministers have been referring to workers from the northern states, saying, "Pani Puri, will you get a job if they speak Hindi?" Due to this, some people are spreading various ideas. If the Chief Minister says that a conspiracy is being hatched to remove his Government after watching those who are instigating a hate campaign that the Tamil people are not getting jobs because of the workers of the Northern states, then it is you who created this," slammed Vanathi Srinivasan.

She also demanded that the Chief Minister should not try to hide his failures by putting the blame on others. "He says he will take action against anyone who questions the Chief Minister's integrity. People coming from the Northern states are also Indians. If you say that you are watching your State ministers talk about Indians, why are you blaming someone else? It is up to you (the Chief Minister) to take action in this matter and show firmness in this matter," she added.

"The IT Cell Chief, who has walked away from the BJP, said that everyone may have a political reason, or there may have been some willingness between them, and when every such person leaves the party, they are saying the opinions they think are right or wrong. But the BJP is not going to be adversely impacted on this matter and our party is growing rapidly in every district with more and more new people," she further added.

"The State Government should prepare the students who can appear for the exams in each state. You have to help them. In what way would it be right to leave all this behind and ask that Tamil Nadu students be given priority? It's like asking next year to cover up his failure instead of preparing and helping students prepare for competitive exams so that they can face the exams," demanded Vanathi Srinivasan.

She added, "While claiming to be going into national politics, he will meet various teams in national politics. How should the leaders who are in national politics behave in the first place? Do you believe in nationalism as the basis for that in the first place? First of all, show how you take action against those who speak against national integration. Then come to national politics."

"DMK ministers are throwing stones, speaking ill of women and insulting the people who vote. They all think that they are masters and all the people who voted are treated like slaves. But they are the ones who brought in a culture of people falling at their feet by talking about self-respect," she slammed.
