Municipal Councillor celebrates 'Holi' festival with migrant workers from Northern states in Palladam

The councillor spent time and celebrated Holi by smearing colour power with the migrant workers from North India along with her family.


Tirupur: Sasirekha Ramesh Kumar, Municipal councillor (ward 18 ) of Palladam Municipality celebrated the Holi festival with the migrant workers working in a private firm in the Chittampalam area next to Palladam.

In the last few days, fake videos have been circulating on social media that migrant workers from North India were being attacked in Tamil Nadu and due to this some workers from the northern states have returned to their native places.



In order to ensure that the workers of the Northern states are safe in Tamil Nadu, the councillor made it a point to celebrate the Holi festival with migrant workers.



Also, Sasirekha Ramesh Kumar assured that she is ready to extend necessary help to migrant workers from the northern states living in the Palladam area.
