Actor Khushbu appointed as Member of National Commission for Women (NCW), thanks PM Modi

Actor Khushbu, who has been appointed as a Member of the National Commission for Women, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP Tamil Nadu President Annamalai, Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan also greeted her on the occasion.


Chennai: Actor Khushbu has been appointed as a member of the National Commission for Women (NCW). Hitherto, the actor-turned-politician has served as a Member of the BJP's national executive.



Following her appointment, she has been greeted by the BJP leaders and the film fraternity she belongs to.



Khushbu, who took to Twitter thanked PM Modi. "My thanks to PM Modi and the Government of India for giving me such a huge responsibility. I will do my best to stop atrocities against women."



BJP State President Annamalai tweeted and greeted her too: "On behalf of the Tamil Nadu BJP, congratulations to Khushbu on her election as a member of the National Commission for Women. Khushbu, who has consistently fought against atrocities against women and children, has been rewarded with recognition.



Coimbatore South MLA and BJP women's wing National president Vanathi Srinivasan tweeted: ‘Congratulations to Khushbu on her appointment as a member of the National Commission for Women. I am confident that you will promote and protect the interests of women and play an important role. My best wishes for this new responsibility.
