Bhakti Natya Niketan to perform 'Tiruchendur' - a Bharatanatyam concert by Karuna Sagari at KCT's Saravanampatti campus in Coimbatore on Feb. 26

Coimbatore: With the intent to throw light on the philosophical significance of the 'Kanda Sashti Vizha' that takes place at Tiruchendur, renowned Bharatanatyam dancer-choreographer Karuna Sagari will perform 'Tiruchendur' - a Bharatanatyam concert - this Sunday at the Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Saravanampatti.

A press conference was held on Thursday to convey that Karuna Sagari and her Bhakti Natya Niketan have made extensive preparation for this concert, with regard to the content and music for the concert.



14 different literary works including Kandha Puranam have been used to develop the content for the performance. 'Tiruchendur' will delve into the innate potential of humans to seek glimpses of the infinite even while struggling with the fallibility of human nature.



For Tiruchendur's music, composer Susha has taken contents from 13 works of original literature dating back from the 5th to the 20th century. The music has been recorded professionally featuring over seven acclaimed musicians and more than 14 folk and classic instruments in one of the best studios.



With more than 800 tickets sold, limited tickets are made available via BookMyShow ticketing app, and spot tickets are also available at KCT. This concert is a fundraiser event, and the funds raised will be used to fuel the Murugan Unarvu World Tour.

Karuna Sagari stated that they plan to take this concert to five continents where people are passionate about Lord Murugan. The concerts are scheduled for countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Switzerland and many more.
