Coimbatore: Staging a protest against the GovernmentLaw College authorities, the students have demanded to revoke the suspension orders served against three students and also withdraw the police case in which two studentshave been falsely implicated

The students also demanded that the 'inquiry committee' should include student representatives when hearing the complaints against some students.

According to sources, Haritha, a law student, had submitted her U.G. certificate when she joined the B.L. course, but the college authorities denied it.

Sheikh Muhammed, a third-year student of the same college, reportedly abused the college staff in support of student Haritha, when they said her testimonials were missing.

Angered at this, the college staff lodged a complaint with the Principal, who in turn gave a police complaint. Subsequently, a case has been registered against Sheikh Mohammed and Haritha and the two were suspended from college.

It is also alleged that Dharanis, a second-year student, has also been suspended without giving any reason.

Protesting against this, students gathered in front of the law college premises and raised slogans against the college authorities.

The students raised slogans demanding that no action should be taken against the protesting students.

Following this, the Principal of the college began talks with the students and the students demanded that the Principal accept their demands and give them in writing.

The students said that they would give up theirprotests, only if their demands are met.
