Migrant workers attack four local youths near Tirupur, video goes viral

Migrant workers chased and assaulted four local youth after a quarrel near a hosiery unit.



Tiruppur: A video of migrant workers from North India, attacking local youth in Anupparpalayam has gone viral on the internet.

The workers from the northern states, who were working at the hosiery unit Thilagar Nagar in Anupparpalayam, came out for a tea break in the evening.

They smoked cigarettes near a petty shop. Four local youth who came there under the influence of alcohol picked up a quarrel with them.

In the melee, the four local youth attacked the migrant workers.

On seeing this, the workers from the northern states ganged up and chased and beat up the four youths from Tamil Nadu. The youths from Tamil Nadu fled when they came to know that 15 Velampalayam police personnel were patrolling the route.

Similarly, workers from North India have gone back to work.

No Police complaint was made in this respect. However a viral video is currently doing rounds in social media about the attack on local youth by migrant workers.
