Minister Sekhar Babu inspects Perur Patteeswarar temple in Coimbatore

Minister Sekar Babu inspected the grounds where Shivaratri celebrations will be held for the first time at Perur Patteeswarar Temple in Coimbatore.



Coimbatore: The Minister is reviewing the preparations for the Maha Shivaratri celebrations to be held in Shiva temples in Tamil Nadu. Due to this, he inspected the Perur Patteeswarar temple.

Last year, Shivaratri celebrations were held at Kapaleeswarar temple in Mylapore and other Shiva temples in Tamil Nadu. This year, maha shivaratri will be held in five temples across Tamil Nadu - Kapaleeswarar Temple, Thanjavur Periyakovil, Thiruvannamalai, Nellaiappar Temple and Perur Patteeswarar Temple.

In this situation, arrangements are being made to conduct Shivaratri on behalf of Perur Patteeswarar Temple in Coimbatore on about 4.5 acres of land belonging to the temple.



Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister Sekar Babu personally inspected the site.



He was accompanied by Commissioner Kumaraguruparan, District Collector Sameeran and others.



The minister also inspected the venue, the water tank built for elephant bathing in the same area and the well of the temple.

He told the officials that he would hold a meeting with the executive officers of the five temples, including the commissioner, on The 24th.
