Man arrested for selling ganja near Poochiyur

Police arrested a youth who was storing and selling ganja at Poochiyur and about 550 grams of ganja was also seized.


Coimbatore: On receiving a tip off that ganja was being sold in areas under Periyanaickenpalayam police limits, police intensified patrolling in Periyanaickenpalayam areas.

Accordingly, a police team led by Periyanayakanpalayam police sub-inspector Murali conducted patrolling at Poochiyur near Narasimhanaickenpalayam yesterday.

A young Vikram of Dindigul, who was standing there in a suspicious manner was interrogated.

Interrogation revealed that he was currently staying at Kavundampalayam in Coimbatore and was involved in the sale of ganja.

Periyanayakanpalayam police arrested Vikram and also seized 550 grams of ganja from him. Later, Vikram was produced in court and remanded in custody.
