Coimbatore: Protesting against TN Governor R. N. Ravi’s walk out from the Assembly, DMK cadres Sulur burnt the effigy of the Governor and staged a road blockade in Sulur. They also urged the Centre to call back the Governor.

Even as 2023 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly session began with the Governor's address yesterday, the Governor skipped certain portions of the speech, which angered the DMK and its alliance partners. The DMK alleged that when the Governor addressed the Assembly, he had skipped portions of speech prepared by the Tamil Nadu government, wantonly.

Moreover, when Chief Minister M K Stalin was speaking on the issue in the Assembly, the Governor suddenly walked out of the House.

Condemning against the act of the Governor, DMK workers raised slogans against his actions.
