One day educational tour for differently abled persons in Coimbatore

As many as 36 differently-abled persons, their parents and teachers were taken on a one-day educational tour to the Mahatma Gandhi Museum, Podanur, Aliyar Dam, Pollachi.



Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Differently Abled Welfare Department has decided to take the hearing impaired, visually impaired and mentally challenged persons undergoing training at the Primary Institute Training Centre for a day's tour.



As many as 36 differently-abled persons and their parents and teachers were taken on a day-long tour to the Mahatma Gandhi Museum in Podanur and the Aliyar Dam in Pollachi.



District Collector Sameeran flagged off the vehicle at the Collectorate. A sum of Rs.10,000 has been allocated by the Differently Abled Welfare Department for this tour.

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, Differently Abled Welfare Department officials and others were present on the occasion.
