Former AIADMK minister SP Velumani garlanded the statue of freedom fighter Veerapandiya Kattabomman on his 263rd birth anniversary being observed today at Echanari


Coimbatore: The 263rd birth anniversary of freedom fighter Veerapandiya Kattabomman is being celebrated today. On this occasion, political leaders and the general public are paying floral tributes to the statue and portrait of Veerapandiya Kattabomman at various places across Tamil Nadu.

Former minister S P Velumani garlanded the statue of Veerapandiya Kattabomman at Echanari on the occasion of the freedom fighter’s birth anniversary.

Pigeons were also released on the occasion.

AIADMK Kinathukadavu area functionaries and cadres took part in the event.
