Increasing drug addiction in the city; two including a Kerala youth arrested for peddling high-grade narcotic methamphetamine

Police found that Saburani Arayna Nikhil (23), a native of Kerala, was hoarding methamphetamine, a high - grade synthetic drug, for sale. They seized 54 grams of narcotics from his possession.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore district and city police are cracking down on the sale of narcotic drugs on a regular basis.

A police team led by Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan raided a secret place near a bakery near the private college and found a drug peddler there.

While interrogating Saburani Arana Nikhil (23), a native of Kerala who was moving in a suspicious manner, the police found out that he was peddling methamphetamine, a high-grade narcotic substance that he sold to his customers.

The police seized methamphetamine weighing 54 grams and 1.500 kg of cannabis from him.

Saburani Arana Nikhil was arrested by the police and remanded to judicial custody

In a similar fashion, Prohibition Enforcement wing Police inspector Amudha, sub-inspector Rajesh Khanna and constables were patrolling in the Periyanaickenpalayam area when they came upon Vignesh, who was found to be in possession methamphetamine.

Vignesh was arrested and remanded in custody.

The District Superintendent of Police has warned that strict action will be taken against those indulging in such illegal activities.
