Corporation Commissioner (in-charge) P. Gandhimathi today visited Cheran Nagar, Kavundampalayam and inspected the sanitary standards at the ward.
The team of officials present also ensured that Abate mosquito repellent is applied at all water storage tanks. Unwanted trash that were found at the ward were also removed by the sanitary workers. The residents were asked to keep their premise clean and avoid stagnation of trash and water for longtime as such places are the breeding ground for infectious disease-spreading mosquitoes.
District Welfare Officer Dr. K. Santhoskumar, Assistant Commissioner Ramaiyya, Assistant Town Planning Officer, Ravichandran, Assistant Executive Engineer, Karuppsamy and corporation officials were present during the inspection.
