Three die, one injured as tanker lorry collides car near Kangeyam in Tirupur dt.

While three members of the same family were killed when a tanker truck rammed into a car one person was admitted to a private hospital in Coimbatore for further treatment They were travelling in a car for a relative's house function, when the accident occurred.



Tirupur: While three members of the same family were killed when a tanker truck rammed into a car one person was admitted to a private hospital in Coimbatore for further treatment They were travelling in a car for a relative's house function.

Viswanathan, a native of Kangeyam in Tirupur district was proceeding in his car from Kangeyam to Chennimalai to attend a function at his relative's house.



A tanker lorry, which was proceeding towards Kangeyam from Chennimalai, collided head-on with the car near Siviyarpalayam in which two of the occupants died on the spot.

While Viswanathan and his mother-in-law Mani, died on the spot.



Ramanan and Umapathy, who have sustained seriously injuries were admitted to Kangeyam government hospital for treatment.

However Ramanan succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Umapathy was taken to a private hospital in Coimbatore for further treatment.



The police have registered a case and are investigating.
