Abdul Rehman a native of Sudan approached many hospitals in India, like Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai in search of treating his prolonged chest pain. On the advice of his friend, Abdul Rehman approached KMCH hospital in Coimbatore. Upon investigation by Dr. Saravanan, Cardiologist at KMCH diagnosed him with few blocks in his blood vessels.The doctors at the hospital performed the surgery on him in January this year.

Dr. Devendra Singh, Cardiologist Surgeon has stated that “The surgery was very challenging, especially technically as the number of blocks were more. The surgery team decided to perform a total bypass surgery and completed the surgery successfully. Abdul Rehman, who was discharged two weeks ago can perform his usual tasks after a month.
KMCH hospitals president Dr. Nalla G. Palanisami appreciated the team of doctors who performed the surgery. 'KMCH hospital treats not only people from this part of the country but also treats patients from the all over the world. Though Coimbatore is not well-connected by air, people from African and Arabian Countries especially Sudan, Yemen and Oman have visited the hospital for various treatments',said the Chairman,KMCH.
