Woman walking on the road tragically killed by two-wheeler hit near Coimbatore

Coimbatore: A case has been registered against a youth who caused the accident as a woman was killed after being hit by a two-wheeler on the Coimbatore-Mettupalayam road.


Coimbatore: Bhagyam is a native of Kamakshipuram in Periyanayakanpalayam in Coimbatore. She was walking on the Coimbatore-Mettupalayam road. At that time, a speeding two-wheeler coming towards Coimbatore lost control and hit Bhagyam, injuring her. People nearby rushed him to the Coimbatore government hospital in an ambulance.

But the doctors who examined her said she was already dead. A young man who was riding behind the two-wheeler was also seriously injured in the accident.

Periyanayakanpalayam police, who have registered a case against Giridhar, who was driving the vehicle in connection with the accident, are investigating the incident.
