February 4 is observed as 'World Cancer Day'. Experts point out that awareness about this killer disease can bring down the number of people who are suffering from cancer. Cancer patients go through physical and emotional pain that cannot be expressed in words. Only empathy towards those who suffer from cancer can help them live a better life.

Considering all this, city-based NGO Eera Nenjam Trust celebrated World Cancer Day yesterday with the children patients of the Coimbatore Government Hospital (GH).
Five children are undergoing treatment at the Coimbatore GH for cancer. Eera Nejam Trust in a way to show the support and to encourage the children distributed sweets and gifts to the children at the GH. The children were happy by this gesture.

This trust also distributed gifts and sweets to the other children who are undergoing treatment at the children's ward in this hospital. Eera Nenjam Trust thanked the people who supported their cause by providing the assistance.
