Minister of higher education for Tamil Nadu, K. P. Anbalagan stated that Tamil Nadu has topped the Indian states in the field of higher education. All India college Principals’ conference was recently hosted at a private college in Coimbatore. Tamil Nadu minister for higher education K. P. Anbalagan and minister for rural development, S.P. Velumani participated in this conference.

About 67 new colleges have been started in the past five years in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu contributes more in the industrial sector when compared to the other Indian states. The number of students who pursue higher education has increased in Tamil Nadu he said.
