Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is offering a one-day training on ‘Beekeeping’ on 6-2-2017 (Monday) at the Department of Agriculture Entomology. Hands on training will be provided on identification of bee species, their habitats, rearing of Indian bees in boxes, general and seasonal management, bee forage, yield increase of crops through cross pollination, honey extraction, processing of extracted honey, disease encountered by bees and their management and the the threats that bees are exposed to.
Those who are interested in participating in this workshop should be at the Department of Agricultural Entomology on the day of training, before 9.00 am and register for the session by paying Rs. 250/- towards registration. Training begins at 10 am and the session is expected to end by 5 pm. A certificate will be given to the participants at the end of the training session.
