'Water-sharing issues should be settled amicably through talks', says Oommen Chandy, Former CM Kerala.


Oommen Chandy, Former Chief Minister of Kerala was here at Ukkadam, yesterday to participate in the 80th anniversary function organised by the 'Muslim Valibar Munnetra Sangam' (MVKS).

Speaking to the media, the former CM stressed on need of an amicable relationship between Kerala and Tamil Nadu.  He also stated that, the Kerala Government understands the water needs of Tamil Nadu and hence both the governments should conduct talks and resolve the long-pending water sharing issues, he suggested. 

When questioned about the present check dam issue across the Bhavani river, the former CM remarked ' No comments'!
