Digital India exhibition hosted at the Western Ghats International School

Digital India exhibition was organised for school students at the Western Ghats International School campus in Ettimadai near Coimbatore. The exhibition is hosted as a part of the Kovai Vizha. 39 professional participants from various fields like Indian Army, Rapid Action Force, Airport, Universities, Engineering colleges and professional organisations participated in this exhibition.



G. Prakash Reddy, Airport Director of Coimbatore International Airport inaugurated the event today. Indian Army and Rapid Action Force displayed sophisticated weapons, vehicles and explained to the children about the weapons that were on display. A technical team of Coimbatore International Airport presented how Communication and Air traffic between Aerodrome and International flights are conducted.



Aviation Services like air traffic, navigation, rescue, etc were also explained to the students. The visitors also had the experience of using a flight simulator. A crew of journalists and technicians of Puthiya Thalaimurai channel gave a demonstration on Outdoor Broadcasting using an outdoor broadcasting van from the school premises. Jaguar and Lanrovers cars were also at display.

Professors and research scholars from Departments of Geo Information System & Meteorology of Tamil Nadu Agri University, Departments of Mass Communication and department of Industrial Innovation Centre & Computer Science of Amrita University, Department of Nano technology of Bharathiar University demonstrated the technological advancements in their respective fields.

Professionals from Ganga Hospital explained to the students about how 1mm plastic surgery that is performed and also detailed about the skin bank that is available at the Ganga Hospital.

Automobile Engineering Department students of Kumaraguru College, Cyber Forensic & Ethical Hacking sessions were conducted by the students Kalaingar Karunanidhi College, Sessions on Petro Chemical Engineering and Food Processing was conducted by the staff and students of JCT College, E – Commerce by Krishnammal College, Sasi College of Architecture students held demonstrations about the field of Architecture.
